Tuesday, February 3, 3:30–5 p.m.
Location: Bernstein Ballroom, Lobby Level
Open Space Peer Community Discussions is a participant-driven approach to discussion, learning, and problem-solving. Instead of a static agenda, we’re inviting you to create conversations that focus on the interests and challenges that matter most to you and your colleagues as CEOs. This tactic promotes peer learning, candid dialogue, and practical takeaways to enrich your leadership and your JCC.
To make the most of this session, you’re invited to complete this pre-conference participant survey to suggest topics in advance and volunteer to guide the conversation on-site. (If you prefer, a Mifgash faculty member can lead the discussion.) Please focus on challenges you face, opportunities you’re exploring, and/or questions you’d like to investigate with your peers that are not being addressed elsewhere. (These topics will be addressed in Workshops and Meet-Ups.) Please submit your topics and/or let us know by Tuesday, January 27, if you’d like to lead a table discussion. And, if inspiration doesn’t strike until you’re in Atlanta, you can propose new topics on the spot.
By way of background, Open Space Facilitation is built on these four laws (that we’ll review again at Mifgash):
- Whoever Comes Are the Right People: The people who show up for a conversation are exactly the ones who need to be there.
- Whatever Happens Is the Only Thing That Could Have Happened: Focus on the conversation as it unfolds; it’s exactly what needed to happen.
- Whenever It Starts Is the Right Time: Discussions begin organically when participants are ready.
- When It’s Over, It’s Over: Conversations end naturally when interest and energy wane.
And, to take charge of your own learning, The Law of Two Feet empowers you to join or leave any conversation at any time, so you can make the best use of your valuable time and resources.
Open Space Facilitation is an ideal opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and gain useful, actionable insights from your peers, so join us to help make the most of it during what promises to be an engaging and dynamic session!
